Gaming with muscular dystrophy
Lance Carr - a Colorado gamer with a rare form of muscular dystrophy - was at home playing video games one afternoon when a fire turned his life upside down. A team of engineers at Google heard Lance’s story and decided to try and help him out. The result is an AI-powered controller that enables Lance to use his computer with facial gestures. We captured Lance’s resilient story with a film that premiered at Google’s 2023 I/O event.
